Homeless Shelter

The New Milford Homeless Shelter offers nightly shelter for the winter months. If you would be interested in volunteering please call Francesca Morrissey at (860) 355-1013. Two volunteers per night are needed. NMUMC has approximately 12 members who serve as overnight shelter volunteers. Rita Iverson is the laundry coordinator and welcomes others. If interested, please call Rita at (860) 355-1252.

Calling all knitters & crocheters!

Think ahead to snow! Specifically I have children in mind who may get cold hands.  I am looking for people who would make “Grandma mittens.”  These are special because you make 3 – Grandmas know only too well that one mitten is often lost.  I am hoping to have enough mittens made to give children of families that come to “Our Daily Bread.” Please contact the church office at 860-354-4596.

Tai Chi • Every Monday
